We welcome the beginning of August and with it the 24th pictures of the week installment. We’ve had a whole bunch of amazing images uploaded to 64ÌåÓýthis week, but as always we’ve chosen 5 of our favourites to highlight…

We keep mentioning the scorching weather in these blogs so sorry if you’re getting tired of it but this has been the best UK summer I can remember so i’m making the most of it. In my opinion nothing beats an iced coffee on a sunny day and this image is making me crave one. The colour palette works really harmoniously the POV angle adds a little something extra.

We had a new member of the 64ÌåÓýteam visit our UK office last week all the way from Australia so in homage to her i thought it would be apt to include this beautiful aerial shot of the Murray river in South Australia. We are in need of more amazing Australian content like this and of Australia in general from landscapes to interiors to the locals, if you have any Australian images, get uploading.

We’re deep into festival season now and this weekend did not fall short. You don’t need to focus on the acts, capturing festival goers is just as good and we love how this picture from Pol’and’Rock festival puts you right in the middle of the action.

Sometimes we tend to focus on including the younger generation in our images and we’re actually in need of more ‘cool seniors’. This couple fit the bill, not to mention the autenticity of the image which we should all know by now is highly desirable.

I never need an excuse to include images of animals in blogs and to be honest I just love this shot mainly because it has a monkey in it! The selective focus really emphasizes the expression and helps you connect with the image. Wildlife images are always popular with customers and with me so make sure you get uploading.
If 5 images aren’t enough, check out more great images submitted in the last week. Motivated to get uploading this week? If you submit any images you think would be perfect candidates for our next ‘Pictures of the Week’ post, tweet the image refs to with the hashtag #AlamyPOTW and we’ll consider them for the feature.
